Overall great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was delicious! Based on other reviews we got a few appetizers and they were pretty decent but the ramen…the ramen was amazing. I got the spicy pork ramen and it hit the spot! My husband got the tonkotsu ramen and really liked it aside from the gender being quite strong.

I have been wanting ramen for a hot minute, my husband found this place while in town for work so we decided to try it. I am happy he found this place because the food was phenomenal!! The Takoyaki was creamy and delicious and the ramen was amazing! I Jan the tonkotsu and My husband had the grilled chicken ramen. We both tried each other’s and agreed they were delicious! Faith was our server and she was awesome too!
Amazing time! Anna was taking care of us and just so attentive and sweet! The food was so delicious with so much flavor and a huge amount. Definitely give this place a try, we have been sleeping on it for too long and will be back regularly!
Food was delicious and service on point. The setting felt a little crowded (even though we were 1 of 3-4 groups) but that was minor not enough to keep us from definitely patronizing them again.
These are pictures from take out and the presentation is still beautiful. The taste is out of this world, the atmosphere is friendly and calming. The food is fresh, the bone broth has a delicious taste and well balanced seasoning. The service was swift but courteous, definitely a recommend cozy spot to bring your friends and family
Service was great, the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is awesome. Anime and traditional Japanese motifs along the walls. Super chill vibe, family restaurant. Very clean, with staff wiping stuff down as soon as a table is empty. Food was delicious and authentic! The textures were on point and the flavors beaaauuutiful. You can tell the chef/s take great pride in their work. Attention is paid to every detail. The broth was rich, thick, and delicious. The noodles thick, chewy, and flavorful. The vegetables the perfect texture and consistency. Will definitely be coming again. Adding this spot to our date day rotation. Side note: They are willing to modify dishes such as making a non-spicy dish spicy! They definitely undercharge considering the quality and quantity of food. I can't say enough good things about this place and their food.
I haven't been to tanpopo in ages since I first tried them years ago and back then it was disappointing but today I came back after hearing they significantly improved since then and I'm glad to say it wasn't fluff. Staff was a delight and the food took me back to when I was living in Washington and that's a high compliment for VA. Worth the visit alone or with friends. For the record. Hot sake pairs extremely well with the tonkatsu Ramen. I will be returning
This was our first visit and we were overwhelmingly satisfied! We arrived on a very busy Saturday night and were sat at a table quickly. Our server Anna explained everything perfectly and made sure that our first visit went smoothly. She was kind, patient and was very attentive. We’ve found our new favorite date night spot!
